The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1994, recognizes the nation's best remodeling work in four regional competitions that encompass the entire US. Judged by editors and writers of Better Homes & Gardens, Woman's Day Special Interest Publications, Southern Living, and HGTV Pro, the winners were selected from 571 entries from 50 states. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.

This project was done in conjunction with another NARI contractor. This was the first submission to the Minnesota Chapter of NARI by two member companies.
Lemke & Sons has been featured on the cable television show Before and After. The thirty minute program hosted by Pat Simpson appears on HGTV as episode #305. The project consisted of design and rebuilding of the home using as much glass as possible to allow light infiltration and allow a wide view of the lake. A professional video of the entire project is available for viewing in our office.

Hosted by NARI of Minnesota and sponsored by Shaw/Stewart Lumber Company and Marvin Design Gallery, the CotY awards recognize outstanding projects by local contractors. The awards recognize outstanding projects by local contractors. Final scores are based on photo submissions and project details. The contestants are judged by a panel of seven remodeling professionals selected by NARI of Minnesota's marketing committee. NARI established the annual COTY Awards in 1997 to foster a sense of pride and accomplishment among its members, as well as to increase public awareness of NARI professionals. All local award recipients are recognized in Midwest Home magazine.
Contractors across the nation are invited to compete for the prestigious NARI Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards in recognition of their achievements. Winners are selected by an impartial panel of judges who are experts from within the industry and associated fields. All entries are judged on functionality, problem solving, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation and degree of difficulty. Lemke & Sons was named the 2004 Regional Contractor of the Year.
Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, Lemke & Sons Construction was honored to win the 2005 award for Best Design Build Project, Kitchen Remodel Over $100,000.
